Kuenzle is a Founding Partner of Kendris Ltd. (a spin off of KPMG Switzerland) where he
serves as General Counsel and Chairman of the Pension Fund Committee. He is chairman resp.
member of several charitable foundations and member of the Board of Directors of several
Swiss companies. His professional focus is on estate planning and estate administration,
especially as executor.

Kuenzle started his teaching career in 1993 at the University of St. Gall (1988-2001), were he
was teaching Contracts. At the University of Zurich, he was giving an introduction into the
use of legal databases (Swisslex, Juris, Celex, RDB, Lexis and Westlaw). Today he teaches
private law and comparative private law at the University of Zurich, especially inheritance
law. He is also a lecturer in Continuing Education Programs at the University of Zurich
(LL.M. Tax, Fachanwalt SAV Erbrecht and MAS Library and Information Science),
University of Liechtenstein in Vaduz (LL.M. in Company Foundations and Trust Law), and
he was lecturing in the Continuing Education Programs at the University of Muenster
(Germany) (Private Wealth Management resp. Business Succession – 2008-2016) and the
University of California in Berkeley (LL.M. Program Professional Track – 2016).
Kuenzle has written a second thesis (Habilitationsschrift) with the topic “Der
Willensvollstrecker im schweizerischen und US-amerikanischen Recht” (the executor in the
laws of Switzerland and the U.S.) and the Bernese Commentary to the (Swiss) executor. He
regularly publishes articles in inheritance law. He is co-publisher of the “Schweizer Schriften
zum Vermögensrecht und zur Vermögensnachfolge” and of the (Swiss) law review “successio”.
Kuenzle is Vice President of the Verein Succesio and the Swiss Association for Arbitration in
Inheritance Matters, and member of International Bar Association (IBA), Society of Trust and
Estate Practitioners (STEP), Swiss Foundations, Pro Fonds, Schweizerischer Juristenverein,
Deutsche Vereinigung für Erbrecht und Vermögensnachfolge (DVEV) and Hereditare.
