Writings were selected as India’s entry for the UNESCO-PEN Short Story Competition and short-listed for the Ian St. James Award, U.K.Amit Chaudhery has an imprint and publishing venture, (Invictus) and is a folk and alternative history enthusiast.
In the area of public service and community relations, Chaudhery has been active for more than two decades across corporate, direct intervention as well as NGO platforms. A practitioner of linking CSR with corporate personas, brand promise and business, he promoted the Amway Opportunity Foundation which enabled blind people turn successful entrepreneurs. Crafted a model on evangelizing education of underprivileged children using real time, scalable VOS technology for Motorola. Working with Smile Train, the world’s biggest cleft lip charity for underprivileged children, in actualizing its vision. Chaudhery also works to preserve landscapes, ecosystems, animal rights. A Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India, nominee on institutional animal ethics committees,he serves as president, People For Animals (Gurgaon), India’s largest animal NGO; and as an Honorary Animal Welfare Officer for the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) a statutory body under the central government. He is the founder of Earth Quotient which focuses on ecocide.
Amit Chaudhery was educated at Modern School, New Delhi and read History at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. Heholds a Masters in Public Administration from the Punjab University, Chandigarh and a Diploma in Journalism from the London School of Journalism, London.
