Profile Overview
Lucy Greenwood has over twenty years of experience in the international arbitration and dispute resolution field working with energy companies, banks, investment groups, airlines, media groups and many others. She spent ten years with a magic circle firm in their international arbitration group in London and Paris before relocating to Houston to join another major international law firm in 2007. She has particular experience with oil and gas disputes and questions of interpretation and construction of contracts under English law. Lucy is dual qualified in English and US (Texas) law.
Lucy is identified as an expert in the field by Legal 500 and Global Arbitration Review. She is a member of the faculty for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrator’s Fellowship training, responsible for delivery of training to international arbitrators across North America. In 2017 she was singled out as a “Future Leader in International Arbitration” by Who’s Who Legal and was selected by Who’s Who Legal as an expert practitioner in international arbitration for 2018.
She has been accepted as a member of, amongst others, the AAA Panel of Commercial Arbitrators, the ICDR Panel of Arbitrators, the CPR Panel of Neutrals, the Asian International Arbitration Institution’s Panel of Arbitrators, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre’s List of Arbitrators, the Arbitrators’ Roster for the American Chamber of Commerce, Jamaica, the Arbitrators’ Roster for the Houston Maritime Arbitration Association and she is a Chartered Arbitrator: the highest qualification awarded by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
