Jaya Prakash graduated from the University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours).

He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He is also admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales.

He was made a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2000.

Mr. Prakash sits on many arbitration and mediation panels regionally and is a member of many professional associations and committees in the international arbitration and mediation practice communities.

Mr Prakash is well sought after as an arbitrator in commercial, transnational and maritime disputes. He has over 40 years of experience in commercial and maritime law matters.
